Dominicans' experiences in Rhode Island and their contributions to the state

The Speaker Series at the
Latino Policy Institute
Dear Leo,

On December 3, 2009, the Latino Policy Institute at Roger Williams University will host a reception and book presentation about Dominicans' experiences in Rhode Island and their contributions to the state.  Prof. Jose Itzigsohn of Brown University will present his award-winning book, Encountering American Faultines: Race, Class, and the Dominican Experience in Providence.  After the book presentation, there will be a response from panelists and a Q&A session.
 
Along with the book presentation, the event will mark the opening of the "Dominicans in New York" exhibit at Roger Williams University.

Time: Reception at 5:30pm & Presentation at 6:15pm


Location: Global Heritage Hall, Roger Williams University, 1 Old Ferry Road, Bristol RI
