Our client is a Fortune 500 company and has an exciting opportunity for a Global Transportation Design Analyst with broad experience to successfully lead numerous global transportation projects as well as addressing daily operational needs in a fast paced environment.

This full time position is located in Danbury, CT and has a salary range of $70k - $85k. Work cross functionally to educate others on how changes in the Supply Chain affect transportation costs. Provide detailed analysis showing the ideal balance between customer service requirements, inventory levels, manufacturing efficiencies, return inventory levels and facility rationalization/location strategy. Work to mitigate increasing costs while balancing customer and operational needs.

Education and Experience:
• MBA in Finance, Logistics or International Business.
• 5-7 years experience in logistics, transportation and warehousing.
• 3-5 years experience in international trade compliance. Knowledge of current regulations, trends and upcoming changes a must.
• Strong background in financial reporting and business case analysis. Ability to read and comprehend financial statements.
• Proven success in implementing and intricate knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in an international business setting.
• Experience in fleet management, DOT requirements and fleet outsourcing decisions.
• Experience working with freight payment centers and freight payment implementation. Experience with carrier EDI implementations a plus.
• Knowledge of packaging and distribution "best practices".
• Experience in small package, LTL, TL, international ocean/air and multi-modal transportation pricing. Experience with couriers and 3PLs a plus.
