The Challenge:
Ensure efficiency in all aspects of manufacturing, including safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives for a world leading firm.
Meeting the Challenge:
Instill a culture of "zero injuries."
Actively resolve quality issues.
Use lean tools to eliminate waste and create an environment of continuous improvement.
Increase labour efficiency, material efficiency and on-time delivery to customers.
Establish quality, leadership, and safety in the workplace.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Directs department for quality, quantity and on time delivery
2. Responsible for teaching safe work practices and housekeeping
3. Responsible for having machines and/or equipment kept in good repair
4. Responsible for departments reports of efficiency, scrap and other reports as required
5. Trains new employees to meet quality standards. Responsible for quality standards
6. Creates and supports a positive work environment by encouraging and responding to employee questions, assist in the resolution of problems and communicates relevant organizational information.
7. Recommends/implements changes or improvement in methods, equipment, handling or lay out

The Ideal Candidate:
You have 2 to 3 years experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment and you have post secondary education.
In your experience, you have demonstrated the ability to lead people and improve processes as well as exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
