We are seeking a consultant to hire (converted to FTE after 90 days) for a Business Systems Analyst and to assist in product development cycle support and documentation and to participate as a liaison to customers/users, product managers, and internal department leads. Candidate should have 2-5 years of recent experience working closely with users and software development teams gathering and documenting requirements and modeling processes. Occasional travel to customer sites or conferences should be expected. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida and locals will be given preference.
Major Responsibilities:
Create and update functional design specification documents, including scope and requirements, functional specifications, and change requests
Meet with product managers and external users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
Aid is software design
Study competitor systems and offerings to ensure Company products remain superior
Review software deliverables and assist QA in reviewing test plans and scripts
Support technical writing in assisting with creation and review of end user documentation , help files, and/or training materials
Gather or review information about processes and calculations, define changes to existing systems, and implement changes in use cases and supplemental specifications
Identify and document the impact of changes on applications; communicate the impact to the affected teams and product managers
Assist development team with effort estimates for idea proposals and change requests
Academic Requirements:
This position requires at least a BS in Information Systems or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years work experience in software.
